My kid gets hyper earlier than the bedtime range
Sometimes you may see your child getting hyper in the evening at a time much earlier then their ideal bedtime listed in the Perfect Bedtime Range chart.
If your child has been chronically overtired for a long time (5+ months), they may temporarily need a bedtime even EARLIER than the ideal bedtime range.
For example, let's say you have a non-napping 3.5 year old who has been struggling with consistent sleep for a while. The chart lists the idea bedtime as 7:00pm.
But, if you see her getting hyper around 6:30pm and you're finding the 7:00pm bedtime a struggle, she probably needs to go down earlier temporarily.
Try switching to 6:30 for 5 nights and see if sleep improves. if so, stick with that bedtime for a couple weeks while she builds up some good sleep and starts to overcome that sleep debt. The you can adjust bedtime a little later and see if it is well-tolerated with no changes in sleep habits.
I don't recommend putting kids to be earlier than 6:00pm.
