How to know if you have the perfect bedtime
There are 3 questions to ask yourself to determine if you have found your child's perfect bedtime (a.k.a lights out time)
1. Do they fall asleep within 5-20 minutes of lights out?
2. Do they sleep consistently through the night, no wake ups, for 10-12 hours?
3. Do they sleep until at least 6:00am?
If you answered 'yes' to ALL 3, congrats! You have found your child's perfect bedtime.
If you answered 'no' to any, then you may have not found the right time yet. The first step will be getting yourself 100% out of your child's sleep process. The more involved you are in it, the more likely they are to fall asleep more slowly and wake for frequently. Once you are totally out of their sleep process, if you're still answering 'no' you should test altering the lights out time.
