Is it possible that my child needs less sleep?

It is estimated that only about 2% of the population needs less sleep than what is recommended.

So, it is unlikely that your child needs less than 10-12 hours of consistent sleep each night.

Here are the AAP Guidelines:

  • Ages 1-2 years: 11-14 hours (including naps)
  • Ages 3-5 years: 10-13 hours (including naps)
  • Age 6-12 years: 9-12 hours
