Child refuses to participate in bedtime routine
Sometimes kids can straight up refuse to participate in the bedtime routine.
Despite your best efforts to make it engaging and give them some control, they may just not be into it at all. That's okay!
They may be experiencing lots of change around sleep habits that had become the norm for them and expecting some push back is normal.
But, rest assured, this will be temporary.
The best thing to do is invite them to participate in the reading, snuggling, singing, etc. and try to get through it as best you can. Don't give their resistance too much attention or drag the bedtime out too long. Doing so will reward the behavior and not make nights get any easier.
